122 Scorer Street is a substantial terraced house, located in the lower city centre of Lincoln. The house was originally built as accommodation for the skilled craftsmen and artisans employed during the 19/20th centuries in the engineering industry, for which Lincoln was world famous. The area retains an essentially residential character, with most of the houses being family homes. There is good community awareness.
Within easy walking distance there are a number of higher education facilities and colleges. Parts of the University Campus are visible from the upper storey of the house.
There are several work experience facilities located in the area in particular 'Shaw Trust' have several projects in hand at a nearby park. Specialist training facilities function at trading estates within the city.
The house is situated only a few hundred metres from the lower High Street, and shops selling a wide variety of goods are only a few minutes walk away. Also on High Street there are a number of restaurants and fast food outlets.
The City Centre is only about ten minutes walk away, with a multiplex cinema, a large lending and reference library, shopping centres and specialist hobby shops. Railway and Bus Stations are also in the city centre.
A little further afield, but still within easy walking distance, are modern retail parks where all the major retailers have premises.
Churches of all Christian Denominations and a Mosque are all within easy walking distance
122 Scorer Street is only a couple of blocks away from the Lincoln City Football Club premises at Sincil Bank. Also 'Men Cap' have substantial premises a few hundred metres away.
